Career Frontiers of NE Florida, Inc, established in August 2009 and a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, was formed to provide a post-secondary vocational training program for young adults between the ages of 18 and 35 with intellectual disabilities.  Career Frontiers provides real life job skills training through our small business, Bark 'N Howl Bakery.

The Mission of Career Frontiers of NE Florida, Inc is to provide a unique vocational training experience, within an established business, for young adults with intellectual disabilities, guiding them in the discovery and cultivation of their unique talents and skills, empowering them to reach their full vocational potential within our community.

Career Frontiers of NE Florida provides a unique multi-purpose program.  Our participants experience:

• A formal and unique curriculum developed by Debbie Reed, Ed.D., of UNF's Department of Exceptional Student and Deaf Education;
• Training to develope interpersonal skills while acquiring various transferable job skills ina a business environment;
• An inclusive venue for vocational training that encourages interaction with the general public.

Funding for Career Frontiers of NE Florida comes from private grants and foundation, donations and special events.
